On Saturday, August 7th, 2010, beginning at 8AM, Eaton/Powerware will be performing Preventive Maintenance on UPS5.B.MMU, UPS6.C.MMU, UPS7.B.MMU &amp; UPS8.C.MMU.

UPS&#039;s on power service B will be completed first, then the UPS&#039;s on service C will be done.

We do not expect any interruptions in service during this maintenance.

Net Access will be operating on generator power for the duration of the maintenance.  

Notification will be sent out at the start of the maintenace and upon completion.

This maintenance is expected to take 6 to 8 hours.

Network Upgrade
We are proud to announce that we are in the process of upgrading the network hardware in our DCA2 data center located in McLean, VA. Next batch to be upgraded to BEN, to be performed on August 7th, 2010 from 10PM EST to 3AM EST. This upgrade will replace all Cisco 2924XL-EN switches with Cisco 2950G-48-EI switches and will provide you with the security and cost-effective performance of a dedicated back-end network. As is the case with our newest DCA3 data center in Springfield, VA, customers who order servers in DCA2 will now have their own dedicated VLAN and IP space they can use to communicate between their servers.

Key Benefits
There are many benefits of using a dedicated network for your servers. For example, there is a higher level of security for your data. Having a dedicated VLAN and subnet will prevent other customers from being able to access your data as it crosses the network, since all internal traffic is solely visible to your servers. In addition, a back-end network provides unmetered access for all communications between your servers within the internal network and will not be counted against your bandwidth allocation. This also results in enhanced quality of service since certain administrative tasks, such as backup, will not interfere with the front-end Internet traffic that forms the core of your business.

We anticipate a maximum of up to 30 minutes of downtime per switch. Once the upgrade is complete, we will notify you via email. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please feel free to get back to us using this support request.

      <title>Leaseweb EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE</title>

LeaseWeb would like to inform you of the cause of a brief electrical outage on 30 June 2010, which affected some LeaseWeb customers. The data center, EvoSwitch, investigates if a brief emergency maintenance window is needed early Friday morning to permanently fix the problem. At this point we do not know whether this emergency window will cause an impact on your server(s). We will send you a follow-up email later today with additional information. Please review these emails carefully. As always, if you have any additional questions, after reviewing this email, please contact us.

On 30 June 2010, between the hours of 00:00 and 01:00 Central European Summer Time (GMT+2), some LeaseWeb customers experienced brief power interruptions to their servers due to a fault in the data center UPS power network, which provides emergency backup power in the event of a mains outage. The power fault affected only some LeaseWeb customers in Halls 3 and 4 of the EvoSwitch data center.

Further investigation by data center engineers indicates an emergency  window might be required to permanently resolve the situation.  This maintenance window will commence 2 July 2010 at 04:00 Central European Time (GMT+2). We do not know yet, if the emergency window will cause any downtime for your server(s). Data center engineers are still testing solutions designed to eliminate any impact on LeaseWeb customers. It is their intention to correct the electrical problem at the data center without any customer issues. However, we alerting you now to the possibility of a brief power interruption during the emergency window.

LeaseWeb will send a follow-up email today to all affected LeaseWeb customers receiving this email, informing each customer of the likelihood of a power interruption during the emergency window. LeaseWeb has taken these steps to allow LeaseWeb customers, who potentially might be affected by this emergency window to take the appropriate precautions. At the present time, we advise you to have your server support staff on standby during this emergency window to deal with any server issues. Customers provisioned with dual power feeds will not experience any power interruptions during this emergency window.

LeaseWeb will have extra engineers available in the data center to manage any customer incidents, including &quot;remote hands&quot; service. Please contact us, for any issues relating to this maintenance interval. Current information will be posted at noc.leaseweb.com/network.php. Further details regarding this incident will be provided to interested customers at a later date upon request.

      <description>Уважаемые господа! В связи с потерей одной из системных директорий на жестком диске невозможно восстановить работу сервера в обычном режиме. Поэтому было принято решение об установке нового жесткого диска и переносе данных со старого диска на новый. Ориентировочно работы займут около 12 часов или меньше.
